Even though I desperately want to believe (yes Mulder, I surely do...) I struggle to take any tales of alien contact seriously.
For one, there is never any hard evidence. No pieces of their ship, extraterrestrial skin lurking under finger nails due to a struggle, scraps of alien clothing, or clear, 4k cell phone images or movies despite multiple witnesses. The list, especially in this supercomputer-in-our-pockets age, goes on and on.
There are just...stories.
It also appears that every alien anyone has even encountered is untouchable, like a ghost. More a spectre than a physical being.
This always struck me as a bit suspicious.
If there are aliens with interstellar travel capabilities, they are, granted, extremely technologically advanced. But they are not all knowing, all seeing, never-make-a-mistake wise to the point of clairvoyant near deities.
I don't care how advanced your species is, or what sort of mind blowing technology and weaponry you have, to err is human.
And extraterrestrial…
At some point, mistakes are going to be made and things WILL go wrong.
Potentially terribly wrong.
This is where The Claim Jumpers comes in...enjoy.
And keep your gun close.
